The original BMW gearbox bearings allow clear movements and are not suitable for motorsport applications. Aftermarket mounts do not fix the basic design flaws and still can fail, allowing the transmission to move freely. This unique design is a complete cross member with built-in isolator elements with a high shear modulus. It is completely fail-safe and is a significant improvement on the OEM design. It virtually eliminates unwanted movements that can affect gear selection and drive shaft alignment without affecting NVH performance.

Replaces gearbox carrier, BMW part number 22312229198 and their brackets.

IMPORTANT NOTE:-

This bracket and cross member are designed for the M3 with the OEM exhaust and manifolds. Aftermarket systems with larger diameter pipes can cause backlash problems.
